GhostForge is a reverse reverb riser plugin for vocals: it grabs a word off your vocal track and turns it into a reverse reverb swell or a run of reverse delay repeats that lands right on the word, locked to your tempo. Built for lead vocals, hip-hop stutters and Jersey Club accents. $39 launch price (reg. $49). One-time license, no subscription.

Windows 10/11, 64-bit: VST3 and Standalone, signed installer. macOS 10.13 or later: VST3 and AU, universal for Apple Silicon and Intel. Try the free demo: everything works in 25-minute sessions; riser drag-out needs a license.

The classic trick, in one move.

You know the move: cut the syllable, reverse it, print reverb or delay on it, reverse it back, then nudge it until it lines up. Five steps and a lot of zooming. GhostForge does all of it and hands you a clip that ends exactly where the word starts. Drop its end on the word and you are done.

CAPTURE the word.

Press CAPTURE on the vocal track. The next thing that sounds gets recorded, with a few milliseconds of pre-roll so the consonant survives, and recording stops on its own at the next silence. Or drop in a WAV, AIFF, FLAC or MP3. GhostForge marks every syllable to within about a millisecond of where it starts. The first one is the WORD; click the waveform to pick another, step through them with the arrow buttons, and trim it with WORD LEN.

REVERB or DELAY.

REVERB runs the reversed word through a dense feedback network sized to your riser, so the swell fills the exact length you asked for and peaks on the word. SWELL sets how early the rise starts: low for a late, steep whoosh, high for a long, flat bed. DELAY lays down one repeat per grid step, each darker and quieter the further it sits from the word, climbing into it. Short words read as a stutter, long ones as a smear.

Five characters, locked to the grid.

Set the grid to 1/4, 1/8, 1/16 or 1/32, with dotted and triplet options, at your DAW's tempo (SYNC) or the BPM knob. Then pick a character: CLASSIC, PHONE (band-passed and driven), CHORUS, TREMOLO (locked to the grid and fully open on the word) or PING-PONG (repeats trade sides). TONE tilts it, DRIVE saturates it, WIDTH spreads it, and LEVEL sets the peak of the finished clip.

Drag it out. It stays put.

LISTEN plays the riser through the plugin. When it is right, drag RISER WAV, or the waveform itself, into your DAW as a 24-bit stereo WAV and line its end up with the word. + WORD tacks the word itself onto the end, through the same character, so the clip stands on its own for chops and accents. Every riser you drag out is saved for good in Music/GhostForge/Risers (Documents on Windows) under its own name, so a clip already placed in a project never changes or disappears. Your captured word saves with the project too.

Your vocal stays untouched.

The dry signal passes straight through with zero added latency; GhostForge only adds what you drag out. And in the tie-dye UI, every state is spelled out in words and shapes, never color alone.

FAQ

Does GhostForge work in my DAW?
Any VST3 host on Windows or Mac (FL Studio, Ableton Live, Cubase, Studio One, REAPER, Bitwig and the rest), plus Logic Pro and GarageBand through the AU.

Is there a Mac version?
Yes. Universal VST3 and AU for Apple Silicon and Intel, macOS 10.13 or later. The Mac build is not notarized by Apple yet, so macOS asks you to approve it one time under System Settings > Privacy & Security > Open Anyway. After that it loads like any other plugin. Step by step on the Support page.

How does the demo work?
For 25 minutes per session you get CAPTURE, every setting and LISTEN, so you hear exactly what you would get. Dragging risers out needs a license from the start. The riser is the product, and a timed export would give it away. Said plainly.

Is this a subscription?
No. Pay once, own the license. No account, no recurring charge, nothing that expires.

Does one license cover Mac and Windows?
Yes. One purchase, one key: use it on your Mac and your PC, up to 3 computers of your own.

How does activation work?
Offline. Paste the key from your purchase email into the RESULT panel and every GhostForge in your DAW unlocks at once. The key is checked on your machine and nothing is sent anywhere.

Can I use the risers commercially?
Yes. Every riser you make is yours, royalty-free, in any release. The vocal you feed it is yours to clear, same as any sample.
