How the 25-minute demo works
The demo is the full plugin, from the same installer as the paid version. Each session runs for 25 minutes with every control, sound and preview working. When the time is up, the plugin tells you so on screen, in words, and pauses what it makes until you reload it (which starts a fresh 25 minutes) or enter a license key. Buy a license, paste the key from your purchase email into the plugin, and it unlocks on the spot: no reinstall, no restart, no internet connection.
Try everything, export needs a key. Where the thing a plugin makes is a file you keep, saving or dragging that file out needs a license from the start: the cooked kick in Kick Alchemist (drag-out and SAVE WAV), the risers in GhostForge, the chops, loops and pattern MIDI in JerseyClubinator, the bassline MIDI in Bassmith, recorded MIDI in PitchForge, and the chords and takes you drag out of Aurichord. Everything else in them runs for the full 25 minutes, so you hear exactly what you would get. A reload starts a fresh demo, so a timed export would give the product away; this way the demo stays generous and the license still means something.

Installing on a Mac
Open the .dmg and follow the install file inside, then rescan plugins in your DAW. The Mac builds are not notarized by Apple yet, so the first time your DAW loads a ForgeDSP plugin, macOS asks you to approve it, once: open System Settings > Privacy & Security, scroll down to Security, click Open Anyway next to the plugin, confirm with your password or Touch ID, then restart your DAW and rescan. On Windows, the installers are signed, so there is nothing to approve: run it, rescan, play.
When you do buy
Pay once, own it. Your license key arrives by email after checkout, along with your download links. Activation is offline, with no account. The full version behaves exactly like the demo, just without the session limit and with exporting unlocked, and the project you started in the demo picks up right where it left off.

Do I need an account to run a demo?
No. Download, install, make music.
Will demo projects open in the full version?
Yes. It is the same plugin. Enter your key and your existing project picks up where the demo left off.
Which DAWs does it work in?
Any VST3 host on Windows or Mac, and Logic Pro or GarageBand through the AU on a Mac (Bassmith and PitchForge Voice MIDI run in Logic's MIDI FX slot; GarageBand has none). No AAX, so no Pro Tools.
